I wasn’t going to put a lineup together this week for the Hero World Challenge. It’s a no-cut event with only 18 golfers entered (including Tiger Woods). But I figured what the hell. This lineup is basically derived from the Josh Culp Searching for a Specialist article over on Rotogrinders. If you aren’t familiar with Josh or his article, you should really head over there and check him and it out. It’s one of the absolute best articles when it comes to PGA research. He breaks down key statistics that fit the course being played to identify golfers who have a good shot to succeed for the week. With this being a super tiny field of elite golfers, I figured I’d just roll completely on who fit that mold this week.
All of the guys on the roster with the exception of Dustin Johnson are excellent on Bermuda greens. As a matter of fact, they are the top five in the field in strokes gained on the surface. Johnson for his part is excellent on par-72 courses as well as in no-cut events. So that’s my angle this week.
Only entered this lineup in the $750 Birdie as well as the $200 SalaryPro Scramble. Not gonna get rich this week but hopefully will be profitable.
