NBA INITIAL THOUGHTS, MON 12/5

A large slate for a Monday with 11 games on tap, including a pair of 10:30 starts.  Let take a look at who stands out.

GUARDS
The first thing that jumps out to me at the guard position is the game in Atlanta between the Hawks and the Thunder.  I love targeting PGs against both of these teams as they rank 27th and 28th DvP respectively.  So I looking hard at fitting in both RUSSELL WESTBROOK ($8,900) and DENNIS SCHRODER ($5,100).  Westbrook has been so amazing, he’s hit value even at his elevated pricetag in seven of his last nine games.  Those 60+ points provide the lineup with a great floor.

Another team I love to target is New Jersey, especially with the PG as they rank dead last in the NBA against the position.  As such, JOHN WALL ($6,500) is another guy I’m gonna try to fit into the lineup tonight.  He should have no trouble hitting value in this matchup.

For value, which we will need tonight if we’re gonna fit in both Westbrook and Wall, I like both TROY DANIELS ($3,000) and JERIAN GRANT ($3,000).  These two are both min-priced and are facing an opportunity for additional minutes tonight.

FORWARDS/CENTER
It’s a JOEL EMBIID ($5,500) night!  This guy is so good whenever he is slated to play it’s almost an automatic lock-and-load from my perspective.  His price really hasn’t caught up to him yet so he also provided good value.  In a game against Denver he’s gonna be the first guy I put into the lineup for sure.

WILSON CHANDLER ($5,000) is somebody we can target tonight against the Sixers who rank 29th in DvP against the SF position.  He’s went over 35 fantasy points in half of his last ten games.  I really like his chances to top that mark again tonight.

It looks like Trevor Ariza might miss tonight making SAM DEKKER ($3,600) in play.  He’s been averaging 25 fantasy points his last three games and should have no problem hitting that mark tonight with more run.
