NBA RESULTS, THURSDAY 12/8

Well another night of disappointment.  Went stars-and-scrubs and the scrubs did better than the damn stars.  Langston Galloway went 8.1x value.  Jameer Nelson 8.2x.  Shelvin Mack 9.2x.  Joe Ingles was 13.5x and almost outscored Anthony Davis.  So the lesson learned today is even if you can target value and have it pay off, if your stars shit the bed then you have no chance.  Let’s see how those guys did tonight.  John Wall, in an almost must play situation on this slate against the Nuggets at home, had two points at half and ended at 5.4x value.  Jimmy Butler also had two points at half and was 5.3x value.  Anthony Davis 5.3x.  And Mr. Karl Anthony-Towns, who scored .25 more points than Shelvin Mack, was a ridiculous 4.8x value.  You can’t win if the guys you are counting on all come up short.

As it was, I finished just 8.5 points out of the money.  If any one of my four high priced studs goes for 7x then I’m in the top-10.  If they all would have hit 7x value, I would have scored 345.75 points.  Not taking the other rosters into account and who would have had some of my same plays, I would have finished in 1st by over 15 points.  But as is, another non-cash.  But trust the process.  It’s not going to happen consistently when four studs all come up short on the same slate.  Until tomorrow!
